Local playoff games moved to Thursday

All home first-round playoff games involving Mobile County Public School football teams have been moved up to Thursday at 7 p.m. to avoid possible inclement weather from Hurricane Rafael on Friday.

The affected games are Vestavia Hills at Mary G. Montgomery, Hewitt-Trussville at Baker, Sipsey Valley at Vigor and Northside at Williamson at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

Saraland also moved its home playoff opener against Chelsea to Thursday at 7 p.m.
