Pearce Boone had 26 points and 10 rebounds and No. 1-ranked Providence Christian led most of the way in a 73-61 win over Clarke County Tuesday night in the Class 2A South Regional semifinals at Montgomery’s Garrett Coliseum.

TaMyus Pugh and Justavian Crayton scored 12 points apiece and Crayon had 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who finished 18-6.

Providence Christian won despite going 0 of 17 from three-point range and getting outrebounded 40-38. But Clarke County had 21 turnovers, got outscored 32-18 off the turnovers and got outscored 13-3 at the free-throw line.

Providence Christian (27-2) led for all but 3:35 of the game.
