CRIME SCENE TECHNICIAN I

This is technical work in processing crime scenes for the Mobile Police Department in indoor and outdoor settings. This requires a high school diploma or a GED, supplemented by college coursework in criminal justice or forensic science or one year of experience in crime scene evidence processing.

(STREET SWEEPER)

EXAMINATION: APPRAISAL
This is responsible work in performing various manual tasks in operating one or more types of a street sweeper. This requires completion of the eighth grade and one year’s experience with the ability to demonstrate skill in the operation of a STREET SWEEPER. Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license. This equipment will require a commercial driver’s license that is obtained before the six-month working test period is completed.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for the construction of 2 separate projects: Weaver Road Area Natural Gas Main Relocation and Norfolk Southern Railroad Natural Gas Main Crossing will be received by Clarke-Mobile Counties Gas District, at its Jackson, Alabama office at 2003 College Avenue, Jackson, Alabama 36545 until 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 8, 2024, and then publicly opened and read aloud at said location.
Principal items of work for each project generally include:
Weaver Road Area Natural Gas Main Relocation – the construction of approximately 7,300 linear feet of new 12” Steel natural gas main and other related appurte-nances. Approximately 7,000 linear feet by horizontal directional drill/bore in four separate bores. The proposed work is in 4 separate locations along US Highway 43 right-of-way in Mobile County, Alabama.
Norfolk Southern Railroad Natural Gas Main Crossing – the construction of approximately 1,700 linear feet of new 12” Steel natural gas main and other related appurte-nances. Approximately 1,600 linear feet by horizontal directional drill/bore in 2 separate bores. The proposed work includes crossing the railroad and U.S. Highway 43, as well as along U.S. Highway 43 right-of-way in Mobile County, Alabama.
Plans and specifications may be examined at Clarke-Mobile Counties Gas District’s Corporate Office in Jackson, Alabama office at 2003 College Avenue, Jackson, Alabama 36545; and at the office of Southern Engineering Solutions, Inc., 201 East Troy Street, Andalusia, Alabama 36420.
Contractors’ bids, to be eligible for consideration, must be submitted on complete proposal documents made available by the Owner/Engineer. Complete paper bid documents may be obtained at the office of Clarke-Mobile Counties Gas District; 2003 College Avenue, Jackson Alabama 36545; and at the office of Southern Engi-neering Solutions, Inc., 201 East Troy Street, Andalusia, Alabama 36420.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
Each bidder must submit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to submit 100% performance bond and a 100% payment bond.
Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1985, and must submit with his bid satisfactory evidence of such license. Bidders will not be required to pre-qualify, although bidders are required to provide evidence of prior similar and “specialty” work-experience as required in the project specifications.

NEW CENTRAL OFFICE RENOVATIONS FOR SATSUMA CITY SCHOOL SYSTEM, SATSUMA, ALABAMA
The work includes renovations to approximately 12,000 sf of existing area and approximately 2,000 sf of new construction, with all trades incorporated in the general contract.

Official interpretations will be based on complete, full-size sets. Bid documents may be used only for the purpose of bidding and constructing this project. Documents may not be copied in whole or in part by electronic or other means. Anyone placing an order for plans and specifications will be notified of all addenda by e-mail. The architect retains all copyrights and ownership of the documents.
Award will be made only to competent and responsible bidders as mandated by Title 39 of the Code of Alabama respondents who have the experience and other quali-fications as set forth in the bid documents. Pre-bid qualification is not required. All bidders must be licensed under Title 34 of the Code of Alabama and evidence there-of must appear on the proposal envelope (outside in clear view) or it will not be opened.
A Pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM, local time on JULY 31, 2024, at: Satsuma City School System, Central office, 220 Baker Road, Satsuma, Alabama for the purpose of reviewing the project and answering Bidder’s questions.
This project qualifies for the Sales Tax Saving Program and the Owner intends to implement this program.
Pursuant to State Law a cashier’s check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must be enclosed with the bid to secure the bid for at least 30 days. Conditional bids will be rejected. A list of major subcontractors must be submit-ted as indicated in the Supplemental Instructions to Bidders. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of specified insurance are pre-requisites of contract award. The right is reserved by the Awarding Authority to reject all bids and to waive irregularities.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner’s judgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.

James Operations Center, 4725 Moffett Road, Mobile, AL 36618-0249; until 12:30 PM, local time, August 5, 2024, for the following project:

Project Name: BIG CREEK LAKE DAM TOE BERM AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
Plans and Specifications may be inspected at the Board’s offices at 4725 Moffett Road, Business Center Entrance, Mobile, Alabama. Electronic Plans and Specifica-tions may be obtained via e-mail from Kip Anderson at kip.anderson@stantec.com. No Contract Documents will be issued later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to bid submission time.
The project will generally include construction of a filter berm, filter blanket, and drainage ditch and piping improvements along the downstream face and downstream toe of Big Creek Lake Dam. The work of the project includes but is not limited to the following: construction of a reverse graded sand and gravel filter berm at the downstream toe of the dam and within the two downstream channels; construction of a sand and gravel reverse graded filter blanket along the downstream toe of the embankment; grading of a gravel access road across the filter berm and filter blanket, replacement of the impacted internal drainage and stormwater piping, installation of new stormwater drainage piping, installation of precast concrete headwalls for stormwater and internal drainage outlets, realignment of a downstream ditch and installation of reverse graded filter banket within two downstream ditches; relocation of existing instrumentation including weir flume boxes; temporary erosion control, and seeding and sodding.
