Junior quarterback Israel Benard tossed three touchdown passes and Ladouglas Jones returned a punt 71 yards for a score for the Leopards, who stayed tied with Bayside Academy in the private school Class A Region 1.

Benard’s TD passes were 41 yards to Damarien Gatson, 14 yards to Jones and 23 yards to Tristan Aragon.

Aragon added 161 yards rushing for Mobile Christian (6-1, 4-0).

“We made some adjustments,” Leopards coach Charles Lawson said. “Defensively, in the second half, we made their offense more one dimensional, shutting down the QB run that hurt us in the first half.”
