MOBILE — Nathaniel Mitchell rushed for 148 yards on 17 carries and scored on runs of 16 and 8 yards as No. 1-ranked Williamson routed visiting No. 6 Orange Beach 42-0 Thursday night.
Thaddeus Wilder was 16-of-23 passing for 253 yards and two touchdowns while Julian McDonald scored on a 17-yard interception return. Jordan Jackson added 93 yards on 17 carries, including a 2-yard TD run, and caught a 21-yard scoring pass for the Lions (5-0, 3-0 4A Region 1), who posted their fourth shutout this season and have outscored their opponents 203-18.
“I don’t look at records because our goal is to get to the University of South Alabama (to play in the state championship game),” Williamson coach Antonio Coleman said. “We know (Orange Beach) is a good ballclub and we knew we had to come out and start fast. Our kids came out fast and made some great plays. I’ve got a greedy group. They play fast, they play physical and that’s how they operate on a daily basis.”
The game attracted attention as both teams came in undefeated but the Lions dominated, allowing the Makos (6-1, 3-1) only 19 yards rushing in the first half and 52 for the game. Orange Beach managed six first downs and quarterback Tucker Wade was 9-of-19 passing for 99 yards and was intercepted twice.

Strait connected with Davis on TD throws of 48 and 31 yards and added a 3-yard TD run for Theodore (4-2, 3-1 5A Region 1).
Kendrick Able rushed for 89 yards on 18 rushes, including a 1-yard scoring plunge.
“I’m proud of our team,” Bobcats coach Randy Larson said. “It was a big region win on the road.”
